More research into the dementia time bomb

The campaign appears to focus on raising awareness and on attempting to dispel the stigma of a dementia diagnosis. It is easy to understand why so many people are fearful of seeking help. Yet the earlier the condition is correctly diagnosed, the sooner the patient can be treated, hopefully slowing the progress of the disease and improving quality of life for patients and carers alike.

Early diagnosis opens the door to accessing the appropriate support and minimizes the need for costly hospital and care home admissions.
